Everyone in the world is family to us.
It’s only the limits of our energy that make us keep the name “family” for those closest to us by blood.
But if the end of the world came, and only you and one other person were left — whatever your relationship had been — the two of you would become family.
So those with more energy to spare, more love to give, can help more people over the course of a life.
This is why you have to learn to love yourself first — to fill yourself with love — before you can love others, and love this world.
And it doesn’t have to be energy. It can just as easily be having enough money.
With more of it, you naturally find more ways to help more strangers.
First learn to love yourself; then, as far as you’re able, love others. Beyond what you can reach, do no harm — and wherever you can love, love.
